S.Coop

Spring 2013.

S.Coop is a chicken coop, designed and built by Wesleyan University's North Studio. The coop can house up to twenty chickens. S.Coop is organized around the axis of a curving, S-shaped polycarbonate wall that is tethered to  steel poles. Nested in the smaller curve of the wall is the coop itself: a wood-frame, corrugated metal structure, with human access for egg-collection, water, and feed along the flat side. The larger curve defines the space for the range.
